AUSTRALIAN TOURISM DATA WAREHOUSE (ATDW)

WHAT IS ATDW?

The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is Australia’s national tourism marketing platform — the backbone of digital tourism distribution across the country. It’s where tourism businesses and events list their products once, and then that information gets shared across hundreds of travel websites and apps nationally.

ATDW is built for tourism by tourism, and is supported by Tourism Australia alongside all State and Territory tourism organisations.

WHY ATDW MATTERS FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Listing on ATDW gives your tourism business or event a strong digital presence — without ongoing marketing costs — including:

  • National reach
Your listing can appear on sites like Discover Tasmania, North West Tasmania, Australia.com, and many more.

  • One listing, multiple places
Save time by managing your business info, images, links and events in one place.

  • More eyes, more bookings
Increase visibility to travellers planning trips across Australia and interstate.

  • Easy updates
You can update your profile anytime to keep your offerings current — and listings automatically expire if not refreshed.

Best of all, ATDW is FREE for Tasmanian tourism businesses!

  • Use high-quality images
Strong, landscape images that clearly show your experience perform best across tourism websites. Avoid heavily branded or text-based images.

  • Write for visitors, not industry
Keep descriptions clear, welcoming and focused on what a visitor can expect. Plain language works best.

  • Keep details accurate and current
Regularly check your opening hours, pricing, contact details and booking links to avoid missed opportunities.

Listings need to be updated at a minimum at least once every 12 months remain active. A quick review every few months helps maintain visibility.
